「カミナリの多い年はお米が豊作だった」

そんな古来からの言い伝えを紐解いていくと、”放電による窒素固定” 、"PLASMAによる光合成促進"の2点が大きく関わっていたことが判明。化学肥料が無く、肥料の流通が難しかった時代に、空気中の窒素分が土壌に固定されることでカミナリが多かった地域は豊作だったと言われています。なんとこの言い伝えは日本書紀にも記されていたとか。雷門、雷親父からアニメやお菓子のデザインまで、古くから日本の生活の中心にあった「稲」の「妻」として大切な役割を担っていたカミナリがこれだけ私たちの身近に溢れているのは合致がいきます。

KEIMEN 5th collectionのテーマは、そんなカミナリであり、お米でもあります。
