・菜花というのはアブラナ科の植物の花の総称。ブロッコリーもアブラナ科で冬の寒さに耐え、春に黄色い花を咲かせます！数万のツボミから咲く花・・・ゴージャスですね！

・茎こそが実は美味しい！茎はブロッコリーのエネルギータンク！皮を厚めに剥いて食べてください！

・ ブロッコリーとキャベツはどちらも冷涼な地中海を生まれ故郷に持ち、元をたどればケールが進化したもの。学名はまさかの同じでBrassica oleracea。そういうわけで熱い気候は苦手です。葉っぱを食べてみるとケールの風味が・・・！？

・立派な花蕾を採るためには立派な外葉と茎を作る必要があります。そのためには初期の生育が非常に大事なので適正な株間や施肥量を心がけましょう。
